It's Canada's birthday today! Yay!

...not really doing too much to celebrate haha. *unpatriotic* Too busy failing at colouring.

More funny Canada songs )

Going to see Star Trek with [info]kilo_miles tonight. I don't know anything about Star Trek, but I heard it was good!

Summer school starts tomorrow!!!

Finished my last diploma exam today, and prom is tomorrow. Need to go job hunting too.

But more importantly...Whoa, whoa, finally broke my art block yesterday! Can you believe that this is my first completed drawing this year? So much for my New Year's resolution.

I hope this is the beginning of a trend that will last all summer. XD

Drew this for my friend, who I brainwashed into video games with Professor Layton and the Curious Village for DS. It's also her birthday!

Tried a different method of shading his hat. Looks kinda weird with my bad colouring of everything else. XD

My sister's birthday is also today. She didn't know what she wanted for her birthday besides an ice cream cake, so she thinks she's not getting anything. But I got her Rune Factory Frontier for the Wii. Giving it to her in an hour or so haha!

Also started playing Wild ARMs 4. A bit retro, but not too bad.

My last English class was today. We were going to do reading comprehension practice, but one girl brought in Rock Band and we spent a good 15 minutes setting it up. Not many people played, and it kept overheating and stuff. I'm not a Rock Band fan. But it was still fun. Better than reading comprehension.

It doesn't feel like tomorrow is my last day of classes. I still have so much to do tonight and tomorrow night.

It snowed this morning. Yay.

I actually kinda like snow, but my graduation ceremony is this week. Thankfully, according to the weather, it will be warm on Friday.

I graduate next week, whoa whoa whoa.

...It's actually not as exciting as everyone is making it out to be imo.

Went to the zoo together for a field trip. Took photos. Going on another field trip next week.

I'm also officially done calculus because the final exam in high school is optional. Yay! The other option was to write it, and use the mark to replace another test, or the write it and let the entire final replace your entire grade if it is better. Now I can spend my calculus class doing physics haha.

Found a job for the summer! Tutoring. But still need confirmation.

Been neglecting last minute assignments for Persona 3 FES.

I feel excited for University, even though it's not my dream university. I found some things I want to try next year, living away from home. Hope it all goes according to plan.

...I still need to post a journal about a certain soccer match two weeks ago...

I feel like I am neglecting the internet.

Finally got Persona 3 FES! Man, it's so hard to find. It was scarce when it first came out, but then I found out FES was on its way, so I waited.

Then I couldn't find it, thought I'd wait until a convention. Found it in a store, but it was used, so I waited some more, but only found the standard Persona 3 at the con. The seller told me that they were sold out of FES.

But now, I finally got it! *so happy* *geek*

There's a lot of differences between 3 and 4, most of which, I've heard before, but both are fun and have their goods and bads.

Oh, and I got two scholarships! Not too big...but still generous. But I applied to so many bahhhhhh

And mom's new coffee cake with white chocolate icing is A++ grade.

Belated Otafest convention report. This year, I went to more events, and as a result, took less cosplay photos. But, it seemed to me that there weren't as many cosplays this year. And mostly mainstream fandoms. I like taking photos of the small fandoms, haha.

There were also a lot of good ones that I didn't take photos of. D: Some cosplays [and artists] I recognized from past years as well.

Johnny Yong Bosch! )

Last IB Exam tomorrow: French!

And I finally finished registeirng my courses with University! I'm taking almost half my courses with friends, and I don't have to get up too early, or stay in class too late.

Just finished planning out my University schedule. There's one class I'm going to take in the spring/summer because if I take it now, it throws off my whole perfect schedule.

So, I went to the eye doctor on Friday. I've seen this doctor since I was little.

Anyways, I knew my eyes and my astigmatism are bad [just look at the price of my contacts and glasses], and I knew that my glasses and contacts are outdated. But you never really realize it until the doctor shows you what you COULD be seeing if you had the proper lenses.

My eyes changed by, like, 4 steps worse. Whoa.

Getting new glasses [finally] but not new contacts, since my current ones will suffice, and they would be expensive.

My contacts and my glasses prescriptions are slightly different due to manufacturing difficulties with the contacts. So whenever I switch from one to the other, there is a 30-60min time lapse where my eyes feel like I just got a new set of prescription glasses.

Otafest report will be posted tomorrow.

I am sick and tired of this.

I want to live my own life. My own dreams. Not someone else's. Not for anyone else either. I want to be selfish. I want my own privacy. I want to enjoy life. I want to be free.

I am sick of people telling me what to do. I am sick of living up to someone's expectations when they keep raising the bar. I am sick of being judged by people that barely know me. I am sick of being a tool or a puppet, cast aside when I become useless.

I want you to stop assuming that you know so much about me. I want you to learn to act like someone I can trust. I want you to be someone I can confide in. I want you to grow up. I want you to listen.

I am sick and tired of this. I am sick of it all.

I'm going to Otafest next weekend! Going to spend lots of money in celebration of the end of high school!

Are there any games anyone wants to recommend, by the way? They don't have to be recent, in fact, I prefer older ones that are harder to find. Some JRPGs, preferably. I'm thinking Mana Khemia, Ar Tonelico, Wild Arms, Drakengard, Suikoden, Disgaea, or maybe even Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM? I only want to choose one because I've already decided to buy a few others.

*goes to read more Ubel Blatt*

Momentarily breaking hiatus to say...I plowed through the last two books of Darren Shan [aka Cirque du Freak] this afternoon when I should have been studying. I'm so pumped for the upcoming movie now!

Not too satisfied with the end [I rarely am satisfied with game or book endings], but to some extent, saw it coming when some peculiarities started popping up.

Great series, totally recommended. I wish I had more time to fanboy it, but I'll do that after my exams. I feel more compelled to work on my OCs as well.

Took out, and finished reading Allies of the Night and Killers of the Dawn.

OMG, [insert name] can be the most evil villain I have ever heard/seen/read/etc. Makes me inspired to make better villain OCs, haha.

Despite actually knowing the general gist of what was about to happen, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I made great use of my study time today. XD

Anyways, can't wait to start the last trilogy. I don't know as much about it, just bits and pieces, but still.

I'm also going on hiatus from now until the end of next week, maybe longer. Since the bulk of my exams end after that. Not all of them, mind you. I'll still check messages daily though, just in case.

Another double posting. XD But I just have to say this.

Finally got my hands on Hunters of the Dusk from the Darren Shan Saga! I've been waiting since November. It's the only book in the series that they ran out of at the library and I had to wait for them to reorder.

I even had the next two books after this one in my possession, but returned them because I want to read them chronologically.

OMG, Cirque du Freak movie coming out next year!

Sorry for spamming you guys with double journals lately! I guess I just have too much to say.

Today, the first day after the band and choir left. My French class went from 4 students to 2. And the teacher is away too, so an old teacher of mine came to sub. And the other student didn't show up. 1.5 hours in a classroom. Just me and him. Awkward!

Spent 10 or 15 minutes remembering my name and talking about the junior high school. Then I wrote a practice final with a runny nose. Handed it in and he talked to me a bit more.

And since tomorrow is Hawaiian Day at our school [what a dumb idea], they decided to play Hawaiian music in the halls during class switch. I don't mind the Christmas carols in December, but this...is just ridiculous. Especially when you read the next paragraph.

The snow in our backyard was nearly finished melting yesterday. We were supposed to have flurries today though. IT SNOWED HARD FROM ABOUT 2PM UNTIL EVENING. It's supposed to stop midday tomorrow. Bleck, as much as I love snow, I want to see the sun again! I know we've had snow in July before, but still...I bet it's because of the exams looming around the corner.

And I lent my DS to one of my puzzle loving friend yesterday because I kept telling her about Professor Layton. So, at first, she was really slow. I mean, she's not a gamer at all. Spent way too much time doing the first parts.

Then I saw her today and she was on chapter 7! Only after apparently 4 hours of straight gaming. Her parents were wondering why she locked herself up in her room, ahaha. She found her true calling in games lol.

Exams coming up, so it's probably not the best time for her to be getting addicted, haha. But she's responsible, it's all good.

Before I showed her the game, she asked if it was in black and white. XDDD Since she doesn't know anything about games.

In calculus, near the end of the class, I exchanged more riddles with another bunch of friends who were randomly testing eahc other with them. Ahhhhh, I'm becoming a riddle maniac!

Now I have three friends who've played Layton at school. Layton is so good, because anyone can enjoy it! Even my parents! Can't wait for the next game!

Tomorrow morning, the school band and choir are leaving for California! I'm so jealous. Well, only a little. It sounds like fun going on a trip with friends...but 90 kids on two planes and three tour buses is a bit much.

Not only that, but they have to get up at about 4am or 5am every morning and free time is only from 1pm to 10pm or something. They get $10 allowances for supper each. XDDD

The teacher even gave them a pack check list. And told them things like "Don't follow strangers." You'd think they were old enough to fend for themselves. They're going to Disneyland, Hollywood and Universal Studios. But they can's ride any rides at the Studios. What. lol

Started watching Sengoku Basara and continued Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. And I lent my DS to someone so they could play Professor Layton because I got them hooked on it. XD Beat that game quite quickly actually, along with Fire Emblem DS.

Hey guys! Spring break just started for me and I got Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Professor Layton and the Curious Village.

Leaving for California early tomorrow morning! Going to Disneyland, California Adventure, Universal Studios, Seaworld and San Diego Wild Animal Park.

I went to most of those places as a kid, but I hardly remember anything. See you all in a week! Happy Easter!

On another note, the Tim Hortons Key Lime Donut is amazing, if you live in Canada. Get it before they stop selling it! XD
